Sarah all ready for the dive |
We met Sarah Healy on the last university dive trip to the Alderman Islands. She is an exchange student from Boston University. She won in a raffle free diving with the NZ diving (dive shop). Thus, in her goodwill, she invited us along on the condition that we have to be her dive buddies.
On Thursday (11/17) early in the morning, we picked Sarah up at her place and head north towards Warkworth. We are diving with NZ diving, and the plan was to dive the Leigh Reef. I heard it was a reef ranging from a depth of 6 meters to as deep as 40 meters, and it was supposed to be full of life.
Due to Hannah's sinus problem, we did not take any underwater photographs. However, the life at Leigh Reef was indeed splendid - octopus, porcupine fish, big school of fishes, leather jacket etc.... This is indeed one dive site which is worth re-visiting.
leather jackets? sounds exotic...
ReplyDeleteSo when I get back there we'll have to do Leigh Reef AND Poor Knights :)
