Finally, after casual talking and planning with my sister for about a year, they (my sister - Meow Lan, nephews - Kevin and Jared, and mom) is finally going to be here in NZ! It was a long first day for them - touched down in Auckland airport around 11.30am, had a quick lunch at MacDonald's at the airport (they missed breakfast/ lunch because of nasty turbulences), took the Airport Express to Downtown ferry terminal, and then the ferry to Waiheke, then my van to home! And Meow Lan and my nephews have always been suffering from bad motion sickness :(
Day 1 ended with just a relax BBQ dinner and an early night. Mom, as always, already starting worrying about how my life has been going on in NZ - the places are too run down, not having enough food etc etc. :)
Day 1 - survived :)
Day 2 started raining in the morning and did not stop until about 4pm. Luckily, the sun did not set until 8.30pm. So we brought the family to play with the roosters at the Rocky Bay Sports Complex, and took a slow stroll at the Stony Batter. Although the tunnel was already closed, we still got the chance to wander around. Jared even had the chance to experience his first "long-drop" toilet :). As I was wandering around Man-O-War bay with the nephews, Hannah bought some crackers and a bottle of wine. It was a nice way to wind down the evening.
Day 2 - Good :)
what is "playing with the roosters"?
