Dogs - There are lots of street dogs in Taiwan. Most of these dogs have very similar appearance - black/ tan or brindle, floppy ears, short legs. These are well-fed as well - thus, either people are feeding them with their scraps, or the dogs are good at sourcing thrown-aways. They are very clever. Hannah and I have seen dogs crossing the roads when the "green man" comes on, goes to the park to relieve themselves etc. These dogs although not aggressive, they are neither friendly. They do not trust people too much. During Hannah's stay in Taiwan in January, she found a stray puppy by the side of the road. Worrying that the puppy may be cold, she tried to bring him home! However, the puppy do not want to have anything to do with Hannah, and just stay out of her way.
