The place I stayed near the lab is actually a holiday resort. However, instead of staying in the resort, I stayed in the "main house" with the owners. I have a room, and a living room which is shared space between 4 more tenants. At this moment, I am the only one here, thus, I have the whole living room to myself. Around the resort, there is a basketball court, and a petting zoo (I guess?!) with goats, chicken etc.
It is about 5 mins bicycle ride to the lab, 10 mins to a eating place for breakfast (they are open between 5am and 10am), and about 20 mins to the nearest 7-Eleven. It takes about 30mins or so to a slightly bigger street. There are more food stalls there. However, even though it is a slightly bigger "town" compared to where I am staying, it is still VERY far away from Kenting city.
It is a very small village, and after a couple of days, all the people here "knows" me :)
